Waffle House

Waffle house is one of my favorite fast food places to eat is is a step above McDonald's but still very good. The service is fast and the people there are friendly and nice.

For some reason, I never stopped at this Waffle House even though it's right along many of my trips southbound. Well, I decided to correct this oversight one evening.The Middletown Waffle House is a lot like pretty much every Waffle House I've been to so far. It looks like a small diner with an open kitchen. Parking is just along the front and one side of the diner. In a pinch, you could park at the shopping center next door too. However, given the restaurant's small capacity, I doubt parking would ever be an issue.Overall, this Waffle House was relatively clean, even if not the cleanest. (Bits of food tend to fall on the floor and they can't always clean it up right away.) My server that evening was very nice and very efficient. The Waffle House menu, like all other Waffle House menus, was compact but offered many choices. I went with my favorites, hashbrowns "all the way" and a classic waffle, and they made those pretty much according to spec.

The food is good. My only issue is they NEVER answer their phones. If u want to order you literally have to drive to the actual restaurant just to place your order. That can be a bit of an inconvenience

Okay, it's a Waffle House, so temper your expectations. If you've ever been to a Waffle House, you know what to expect. The food here was edible and the service was generally friendly and quick. Got a waffle comped because it arrived 5 minutes after the rest of the order, so that was a nice surprise. I was not upset about it, so to do it proactively was a plus. The value for food is fantastic. I'm betting you get more for your money at a Waffle House these days than you can get at a fast food restaurant anymore. This is obviously not a place to recommend to your foodie friends, but if you want a simple breakfast and don't want to cook it yourself, this is fine.

Went there 3x since moving here. 1sr good. 2nd ok. 3rd good. So we will be back but the 17 yr old who was enlisting the first time we went there was amazing. He was so nice and very productive.

This establishment is close to work, that being said, there are times when you just want a quick breakfast and go home. If you want a crispy waffle, let them know, but be warned that it will come out when you've almost finished your meal. The eggs, ordered Scrambled are over cooked, and while the bacon is crisp, there's an aftertaste that lingers until you eat the hashbrowns. Rarely stop there, but there's times a man has to do what a man has to do.👍👎

Breakfast and lunch food. Open 24/7. Very quick service. Cups of coffee are bottomless.

Food was excellent! Service was great as well.

I love this place... Its my "go to" but I'm really upset that they don't have blueberries for their waffles anymore... I will give it a 5 if they bring it back.

I'm not in Middletown often but when I am, I go to this location .... Would definitely recommend to anybody and everyone

It's Waffle House, a true American institution. They got the mark exactly as expected, nothing more, nothing less.

Staff was wonderful, pleasant, funny, and courteous. Food was amazing, hot, fresh and came so fast. One of the best waffle houses I've eaten at on the east coast.💙💙

As always, the staff were very friendly; Meghan was especially attentive. I had my usual All-Star Breakfast (even though it was lunchtime) plus the new blueberry waffle---it was delicious!

1st visit and it was perfect for the day after a night of drinks

It's kinda dirty but the food is decent and the service is pretty good. There are definitely worse places to eat. The prices are good too.

Alina was the star. She went above and beyond to help and serve. And food is always awesome here.

It's old definitely hasn't been updated in a long time. Service was fast food was good.

I came in by at 3-4 AM and as soon as I walk inside I look on my left and witness this bulky old bald man wearing mickey mouse ears (because it was his birthday) and his motorcycle gang all pretty rough and tatted up. They proceeded to snack the waitresses asses demanding they get served more alcohol when they are already a drunken mess. They threw up chunks all over the place and ran in the women's restroom, food was good though!

My cheese eggs & bacon was delicious & the staff went above & beyond. Highly recommended.

Very quick service. Manager Nicole was polite and came around and asked how things were. Never had that happen in a Waffle House before. Place was clean and presentable.

The BEST I've had. I have eaten at a lot of waffle houses across the country, to the west, and up and down the east coast. The food is cooked perfect, just as we requested. We went back the next day (a busy Saturday), once again perfection. As busy as they were (people waiting to be seated) everyone was excellent.

The one server was nodding off... Don't know if she was high or tired. The food was good tho. The other server and cook was cool.
